Betty and Veronica: Shy, hesitant Yoh is Betty, malicious and beautiful yet cute looking Saya is Veronica. Beta Couple: Fuminori's former best friend, Kouji, and his girlfriend Oumi. Off the job, she's paranoid and obsessed with killing the Eldritch Abomination that haunts her dreams. On the job, she's a kind, friendly doctor, albeit a bit secretive. In the ending where Saya is killed, Fuminori and Dr. Technically, they just become whatever Saya is, but that qualifies as a Fate Worse than Death. In the ending where Saya "blooms", everyone on Earth dies. Yoh dies in every ending except the one where Fuminori restores his sight. Anyone Can Die: No matter the ending, Oumi and Yousuke die. Aliens Speaking Japanese: Saya learned it from Dr. 
Alien Sky: Fuminori's warped perceptions extend to the sky, too.While she was almost a child in the H-game, she's now about 18 physically. Saya is also "aged up" to a less controversial body in Josh's eyes. We are shown Saya's true form at the end of the first comic, despite never actually seeing it in the original story- which is arguably scarier than actually knowing. Fuminori is changed to a more "American" name (Josh), Saya is no longer Cthulhu, but rather the result of secret government experiments.
